** INTERCHANGE NOTIFICATION OF WORKS – TAURANGA EASTERN LINK TOLL ROAD (TELTR) **
Earthworks will commence early in January 2023 on the Rangiuru Business Park Interchange Project for Quayside Properties Ltd. The future interchange site is located approximately 6km east of the Pāpāmoa Eastern Interchange already under construction on the State Highway 2 Tauranga Eastern Link Toll Road (TELTR).
What is involved?
Unsuitable material will be removed and replaced with improved material to ensure the ground is suitable for the interchange roads. Bridge foundations will commence at the same time, with ground improvements followed by the construction of large piles that will support the bridge structure.
Higgins Construction have put mitigation strategies in place for dust, noise and vibration during piling work, anyone that has any concerns around these works, please call 07 574 4100 and this will be actioned through our stakeholder and construction management team.
What to expect?
To allow these works to begin temporary traffic management barrier systems will be installed, closing the outer lane in both directions between the SH2 Paengaroa roundabout and the TELTR tolling gantry. These works will commence Tuesday 10 January 2023 between the hours of 6am to 8pm and are expected to be completed over the course of ten working days, weather permitting.
To ensure both public and worker safety, the outer lanes will remain closed for approximately nine months to allow for the completion of these works. During the barrier installation and for the duration of these works there will be a temporary speed limit of 70km/h.
